Mr. Matthew has been studying voice and piano for many years! You may have seen him in local performances in various musical theatre productions, having worked throughout many areas in Connecticut, including Trumbull's productions of Children of Eden (Adam/Noah), and Crazy for You (Bobby Child). He received a nomination for outstanding leading actor for the Connecticut High School Musical Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Bobby Child. Studying Vocal Performance, Matthew has been seen in professional opera productions, such as La Traviata and I Pagliacci. He has received proficiency in classical and modern vocal technique, having studied under heldentenor Marc Deaton. Not only does he believe in healthy vocal technique, but he also believes in creating an enjoyable and well layered performance, no matter what style a person is singing in.
As for piano, Mr. Matthew has studied privately for some years, giving him a great understanding of intermediate piano technique. Great for beginners, Mr. Matthew can give a student necessary basic music theory needed for the instrument, while suggesting the most efficient ways to practice and grow as a student! He is familiar with classical playing, pop style, and anything in between.
