Options For Drum Lessons

Drum PadsList Item 3
Drum practice pads come in 2 basic types, single pad and pad kits. Pads are a more traditional starting point for lessons and less costly. Most students don't find them to be as much fun as a loud acoustic set, but they are good for learning the basics of stick control on a budget with out needing an isolated place to practice. A simple practice pad and sticks will cost around $30 and a pad set will cost about $150. Let us know if you need help finding one.

Electronic Drum Set
Electronic drum sets can be much more fun for the student to learn on then practice pads. They can be quiet played through head phones or with an amplifier or they can be as loud as the amp will allow! The only disadvantage would be cost. A decent starter electronic set will cost about $800. (A bit less used). The student has the option of head phones to practice quiet or an amp to play loud for a few hundred more.

Acoustic Drum Set
Acoustic drums are arguably the most fun to learn on and relatively inexpensive when compared to electronic drums (about $500), however you will need an isolated spot for drum students to practice and a bit more space. If you need help choosing give us a call .
